Twelfth Night
This project was so much fun. I worked as art director for Thesbi Teater, with producer Beate Munck and director Lars Harald Maagerø. It was a piece of outdoor theatre in the wonderful Thaulow Hulet in Tønsberg, Norway. Basically a big hole in the ground in a forest. We wanted to poke fun at misunderstood modernism, so I did everything I could to make the set conflict with the leafy setting. It was especially effective when the actors were also playing from the surrounding cliffs and bridges up amongst the trees. The summer house from hell.
